Spring is almost over, School is almost out, the lake is warming up, and the housing inventory in Pickwick is becoming scarce.
Many now are dealing with finals, graduations, class trips and end of school year activities. This time in Pickwick can often be a bit hectic. It is as I say, “the calm before the storm”. It happens every year about the same three to four week period, people begin to get so busy with family matters and the aggregations of end of school year they either put off coming to Pickwick Lake till a less busy time or just are waiting till they can have their first big weekend in Pickwick!
Now after this time it is a mad rush in the boating market, housing market, rental market, pretty much any summer/ weekend/ lake type business is going non stop! Which is great! Pickwick is best when it is alive! But the difference this year is the housing market is going to be different. For one the market in rural communities and second home area including Pickwick have not improved as quickly as big cities such as Nashville. Though that difference is slowly disappearing. The housing inventory is becoming very low. This year has been a tremendous year for the real estate market in Pickwick helping to drive pricing back up and days on market way down. Though with the inventory dropping it may not be as easy to buy a home in the coming months with Realtors becoming busier and busier everyday and considering the amount of homes to sell, you are going to see prices elevate and lots and lands to begin selling well. If you were hoping to buy at home in Pickwick this year better start checking out the housing inventory before it is too late!
Though if you are looking for a home check out the housing inventory within the price ranges as of May 10th!
